World AIDS Day...December 1, 2009 World AIDS Day is always a special day for us at PAACA because it gives us an opportunity to remember those who have passed,
celebrate those who are living and to mobilize our community to keep up the fight for a cure. When I first started in
this business in the early 90's, AIDS was taking the lives of many people near and dear to me. Today with advancements
in treatment, people with the disease are living longer and with a much higher quality of life.
For
many years PAACA hosted an annual breakfast on World AIDS Day, but as like many things it went away because of funding cuts
etc. Ironically, during these dismal days of cuts a tough economy, I am pleased to let you know that we
are "bringin' breakfast back" this year with a special program at Whites! With tremendous support from
Brown University and the New England AIDS Education and Training Center we have assembled a terrific program and free
breakfast for December 1st. Check back for more details in the coming weeks. But in the meantime save the
date! You can download the program flyer and register at our World AIDS Day link. The formal brochure will be available
shortly.
